| The Irwin Hellions
rebounded from a 58-0 embarrassment last week
to throttle the Eastern-leading Pimps by 50-points
on the blue turf of Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
Irwin's 79 points is a new league record, eclipsing
Anderson's 76 scored in 2002.
The Hellions spread the scoring wealth, with
five players posting 9 or more points. Donovan
McNabb led the attack with a game-high 19, while
kicker Neil Rackers booted 14 more. Receivers
Chad Johnson, Jimmy Smith, and Chris Chambers
combined for 29 as they ran up the score. The
Pimps couldn't counter the ambush, with only Corey
Dillon and Rob Smith scoring above 5. Perhaps
most embarrassing, however, was the defensive
play during the game. Both units – Irwin's
Falcons and The Pimps' Cowboys – actually
added points to the other team's total.
Irwin improves to 4-3 with the high-energy win
and remains only a game back of the Machines in
the West. The Pimps have now dropped two straight
following a blistering start and find themselves
tied with the Figs atop the East.
