The
Week That Was in Fantasy League Football
| Jody's C.W.O.T. |

| Anderson Brewmeisters |
76 |
The Anderson Brewmeisters continued their domination
of the rival Jody's C.W.O.T. behind one of the greatest
offensive showings in league history. Anderson's 69
offensive points left the visiting C.W.O.T. - and their
undefeated record - in the dust.
Brewmeisters LaDainian Tomlinson and Fred Taylor turned
in what has to be one of the greatest backfield performances
of all time. Taylor softened up the C.W.O.T. defense
with 15 early points before L.T. unleashed a punishing
18-point assault. Stand-in QB Jim Miller threw for 10
points, and receiver Eric Moulds brought down 9 more
in the romp. Jody found some offense in Aaron Brooks
(7 points), Deuce McAllister (9), and Tim Brown (7),
but little else. And if you like defense, this wasn't
the game for you. Jody's Miami defense was mauled for
minus-5 points while Anderson's Mighty Titan squad could
only take 2 from the visitors, opening the door for
the 108 combined points scored in the game.
As a result of the thrashing, Jody drops from the ranks
of the unbeaten but remains a half-game ahead of the
Brewmeisters in the East. Anderson, now 2-1-1, is off
to its best start after four games since 1998.

| The Pimps |
52 |
Despite the monstrous offensive numbers put up by Anderson
this week, The Pimps matched their overall 71-point
effort and outlasted the hard-luck Naughty Figs at home,
52-38. Shaun Alexander, mostly dormant in the first
three weeks of the season, exploded for five touchdowns,
230 yards, and an FLF record 27 points in leading The
Pimps in their come-from-behind victory.
The Figs' offense continues to be one of the biggest
surprises in the league. Rich Gannon made his return
from the bye week with a huge 20-point effort, and Lamar
Smith again had a stellar 9-point game. Even undrafted
rookie Deion Branch made an impact with 7 points of
his own. Yet The Pimps - and Alexander - wouldn't go
quietly. Jerry Rice had a big game, scoring 11 of the
27 points not scored by Alexander. With both offenses
lighting it up, The Pimps secured the upper hand on
defense when their Packer squad downed the Figs' Bears
unit 17-7. The Figs, who have had allowed the most points
this season, fall to 1-3 with all three losses coming
in the division. The Pimps improve to an unbeaten 3-0-1,
the best record in the FLF.

| Abstract Machines |

Thomas' Bock Boys rebounded from their Week 3 debacle
in the Hellhole to shut down the struggling Abstract
Machines on the road, 22-9. Priest Holmes once again
led the offensive assault for the Bock Boys with 9 points
and single-handedly beat out the combined efforts of
the Machines' Marshall Faulk and Corey Dillon (8 points).
Daunte Culpepper and Curtis Conway further helped Thomas'
cause with 7 points apiece, while Morton Anderson booted
a game-high 13 points for the home team. With the two
teams all knotted up on offense, Thomas's Eagles defense
turned in a monster effort, stripping a game-turning
26 points from the Machines. From the other sideline,
a newly signed Bronco squad managed a respectable 11
points in their effort, but the Machines fall short
again and drop to a disappointing 0-2-2. Thomas, meanwhile,
extends the franchise's best ever start to a season
and improves to 3-1.

| Sims Stereco |

The Sims Stereco doubled up the visiting Profiteer$,
48-24, to win their second consecutive game and to avenge
their Wild Card Week defeat from last season. Stereco
quarterback Drew Bledsoe torched the P.W.O.P. defenders
for a game-high 19 points, and Ricky Williams pounded
out another 9 in the winning effort. P.W.O.P. struggled
all day on offense with Steve McNair, Travis Henry,
and James Thrash each scoring a team-high of only 6
points, but that collective effort still fell short
of Bledsoe's mark. Making matters worse, P.W.O.P.'s
New Orleans defense actually coughed up a point to the
Stereco offense. Sims' Giants defense, meanwhile, took
only a merciful 7 points away from Oil Men. The win,
Sims' first at home this season, evens their record
at 2-2. The Profiteer$, however, have now dropped two
straight after a 1-0-1 start.

The banged-up Irwin Hellions survived a visit to En
Fuego field, turning away the Piana Raze, 25-17. Playing
with only six offensive starters (Quincy Morgan and
Troy Brown were scratched before kickoff), the Hellions
actually lost the offensive battle with Piana. Quarterback
Donovan McNabb was kept in check with a team-high 7
points, and the rest of the offense managed only an
additional 21. Piana's Tom Brady threw for 9 points
while trying to rally the team, and Tiki Barber and
Isaac Bruce mustered 6 apiece, but the Raze lost the
game on defense. Irwin's surging Buccaneer squad posted
their third straight 20+ point performance, romping
the Raze's Patriots unit, 21-3, and giving the Hellions
their second consecutive divisional win. Piana, now
0-3-1, is off to its worst start in franchise history.
